th film\; however\, this year's offering is unlike anything MIMM has eve
r created before. Filmed over a 2 year period\, MIMM4 pulls back the cur
tain on the series' Director and Producer\, John Padilla. The film follo
ws John as he navigates life and his recovery after shattering his right
leg in a horrific hit-and-run accident. This stranger-than-fiction stor
 y focuses on themes of resilience and finding one's people\, purpose\, a
nd place. Mountain in My Mind \\(MIMM\\) is a ski and snowboard film ser
ies about mental health created by innovative Director\, John Padilla. J
ohn lost his fifteen year old brother\, Jack\, to suicide on February 14
th of 2019. Since then\, John has dedicated his life to erasing the stig
ma behind mental health and bringing the teen suicide rate to zero. John
and his family chose to try and tell Jack's story far and wide in an ef
fort to reach these goals. The Rocky Mountain states lead the country in
youth suicide rates per capita. If you hone in further on ski communiti
es\, you will unfortunately discover that these communities are affected
by suicide rates that are even higher than their statewide averages. Th
is region has been dubbed as North America's "suicide belt." Hug Your Ho
mies is a family with the mission to bring people together\, raise menta
