 n us January 15th to see where 2027 starts. There's something fitting ab
 out pairing these two artists to open the year. Samantha daSilva builds 
 her surfaces in layers\, plaster\, texture\, and pigment worked and rewo
 rked until the canvas feels less painted than excavated\, like something
  being slowly uncovered. Havoc Hendricks works in the opposite direction
 \, stripping his compositions down to patient\, deliberate line\, each m
 ark laid with the kind of restraint that makes a blank space feel intent
 ional rather than empty. Shown together\, their work becomes a conversat
 ion about process itself\, what it means to build something up\, and wha
 t it means to pare something down. It's an apt pairing for a January sho
